After what seemed like an endless measure, Madish snapped out of his daze. What once were two human legs and two arms had turned into four hooves. What were the two eyes of a man were now the two eyes of an animal. And where flowing locks had protected his head were the enormous antlers of a Moose. Had he always been this animal? Or was this change something new? He looked behind, hoping to find answers. But the fresh falling snow was already covering up the evidence.
